Ebru joined the Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime in March 2023 and currently contributes to the development and dissemination of the Global Organized Crime Index. Before moving to her current role, she supported the Index team in her capacity as both an Analyst and Research Assistant since February 2022.

A Turkish national, Ebru holds an LL.B. in Law from Istanbul Bilgi University, as well as LL.M. degrees in Business Law (Istanbul Bilgi University) and International Financial Law (King’s College London).

She has been a member of the Istanbul Bar Association for nearly a decade. Before joining the Global Initiative, she practiced law for more than five years at leading law firms and in-house legal departments in Istanbul, specializing in corporate, banking and finance, and capital markets law.

Ebru is fluent in Turkish and English, and has a good command of French.
