Giulia D'Amico

Programme Manager, Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime

Giulia is a recent graduate from Palermo, Italy. She has always been passionate about the fight against transnational organized crime as it is an issue that affects her personally. Her homeland, Sicily, has long been torn apart by the brutalities of mafia groups and, thus, she has always dreamed of contributing to the eradication of crime worldwide. In this regard, her previous experiences include working as Parliamentary Assistant at the Italian Parliament’s Justice Commission, and as Junior Editor at Women in War and International Politics (WIWIP) in London. Giulia is fluent in Italian, English and French. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economic at LUISS Guido Carli, Rome and a Master’s Degree in Conflict, Security and Development at King’s College of London, with a Final Thesis in Advantages and Disadvantages of International Judicial Cooperation. She is deeply fascinated by the development side of organised crime and has a fervent interest in the United Nations system.
