Maria Khoruk

Associate, Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime

Maria joined the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime in May 2022 and is supporting the Global Strategy team.

Maria holds a BA degree in art history from the University of Vienna and is currently completing her master’s degree in advanced international studies at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna. An area that particularly interests Maria and forms the focus of her master’s thesis is trafficking in cultural property. Before joining the Global Initiative, Maria has completed an internship with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, where she supported strategic planning and resource mobilization.

Maria is Belarusian and is fluent in Belarusian, Russian and English, and possesses working proficiency in German.
