Chwayita Thobela is an Analyst at the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime. She is also serves as Secretariat for the Eastern and Southern Africa Commission on Drugs (ESACD). She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) and Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the University of Cape Town. She also holds a Master of Laws Degree specializing in Shipping Law from the University of Cape Town.
She has an interest in the investigation of how drugs, crime and related activities impact the youth and marginalized groups in affected communities. She intends to contribute to addressing organized crime and its impact in East and Southern Africa.
