Ana Paula Oliveira

Senior Analyst, Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime

Ana Paula Oliveira is a Senior Analyst in the Global Policy team. In particular, she works on the intersection between the Assassination Witness, the Resilience Fund and multilateral engagement teams. She provides analysis on a range of international policy issues, including the impact of organised crime on human rights law and policy, human rights responses to TOC, cybercrime and organised crime violence in the context of illicit economies. As a key member of the multilateral engagement team, she works with a range of stakeholders to bring GI-TOC’s research and analysis to multilateral policy debates.

Ana Paula holds an LL.M. cum laude in International Law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. She also holds an LL.M in Public Law, an MBA in International Relations from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro, and a Bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in Legal and Social Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association, having worked for over four years in a law firm specialising in public law litigation. Her previous experience also includes assisting non-governmental organisations based in Rio de Janeiro and Geneva.

Ana Paula is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish and has limited knowledge of French and German.
