Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam is a distinguished policy practitioner and rule of law expert with over 33 years of exemplary service. His academic achievements include a Master’s in Philosophy from Karachi University, an LLB from Quetta, an LLM in Human Rights Law from SOAS, London, and a Doctorate in Politics and International Relations from the Islamic University, Islamabad. Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Imam has held unique key leadership positions, serving as Inspector General of Police in Punjab, Sindh, Motorway police, Islamabad and lastly retired as Federal Secretary Narcotics Control. Notably, he became the first Pakistani Police Commissioner for the United Nations-African Union Mission in Darfur beside serving in Mozambique and Liberia. Dr. Imam is the author of two influential books: In Pursuit of Ethical State, Reflections of a Police Chief, and Kotwalnama Zawal ka Arooj (کوٹوالنامہ زوال کا عروج). His exceptional contributions to governance and law enforcement have been recognized with prestigious honors, including the QPM, PPM, Sitara-i-Imtiaz, Tamgha-i-Imtiaz, and UN Peace Medals. Currently, Dr. Imam continues to shape global peace, security, and policy-making as a consultant and academician, High court Advocate, while also mentoring the next generation of leaders.
