Jean-Luc Peduzzi is a law enforcement attaché at the Embassy of France in Dakar, Senegal. He is in charge of implementing bilateral security policy between France and Senegal, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, and the Gambia. Jean-Luc has been in this position since 2011; previously, he served as a law enforcement attaché in the Embassies of France in Mali and Mauritania. He has organized and managed security for several large international events, most recently the 15th Sommet de la Francophonie in Dakar in 2014, and has ten years of experience dealing with high-ranking public and private sector representatives in West Africa.
Jean-Luc has been a police officer for his entire career, beginning as a police constable in Strasbourg. For four years, from 1998-2002, he was the deputy chief of the Office Central pour la Répression de la Grande Délinquance Financière, France’s national police bureau for fighting money laundering and terrorism financing. He also spent two and a half years at the Police Judiciaire’s bureau for combating financial crime, and another two and a half years as the head of the Middle East and North Africa Office of the Service de Coopération Technique Internationale de Police.
