Dr. Juan Manuel Aguilar Antonio is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Research on North America (CISAN), of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He is a graduate of the Cyber Policy Development Course (CYBER 2019) and Combating Transnational Threat Networks in the Americas (CTTN 2023) from the William J. Perry Center, at the Defense University in Washington D.C. Internationally, he has been a consultant for the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime (GITOC), and the Mesoamerica Development and Integration Project. He has also been a speaker at the United Nations (UN) Internet Governance Forum (IGF) and a presenter at the Global Conference on Cyber Capacity Building (GC3B) of the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise. He has multiple publications in indexed journals and/or academic journals from Mexico, Ecuador, Spain, Chile, Guatemala, Colombia, and Brazil.
