Chulumanco holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and English Literature, as well as a Postgraduate diploma in Law, Criminology and Society from the University of Cape Town. Her interests lie at the intersection of organised crime and public health. She is currently pursuing her MPhil in Public Law also at UCT. Her Master’s research is aimed at investigating South African perspectives within organ trafficking discourse. Specifically, the research seeks to understand the phenomenon of body-part trafficking for the use of ‘muti’ (African traditional medicine).
