Alicia Solari

President of Diálogo Ciudadano and Director of Anti-Trafficking Perú

Alicia Solari is a lawyer and the founder of the Anti-Trafficking Perú, a programme of the NGO Diálogo Ciudadano of which she is President.

Prior to this, Alicia was Director of Fundamental Rights of the General Directorate of Democratic Security of the Peruvian Ministry of Interior and promoted several processes related to human rights and use of force, gender, smuggling of migrants and trafficking in persons. She was also the Director of the International Technical Cooperation of the Ministry of Health in Peru and worked as a Consultant and Coordinator of several projects with International Agencies (IOM-ILO-UNODC-UNDP, others).

She completed highly specialised courses in Human and Gender Rights in Gummersbach, Germany with emphasis on new standards for combating crime and the abolition of all types of discrimination.

Alicia graduated with a law degree from the University of the Republic of Uruguay, and she obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Rights and in Design and Evaluation of Social Projects at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
