Tim has been a professional law enforcement officer since 1983. With periods served both with customs and with MasterCard Tim has spent the overwhelming majority of his career with the Australian Federal Police investigating drug trafficking, organized crime, cyber-crimes and countering terrorism. He has served overseas with the Australian Federal Police and has for the last four years been the Executive Director of INTERPOL responsible for all police services including counter terrorism, cybercrime and organized and emerging crimes portfolios.

Tim has focused on major reforms within INTERPOL to better assist 194 member countries to cooperate in the fight against organized crime and terrorism. Major improvements have been made to process, including technology upgrades and establishing productive relationships with partners and donors. As a result INTERPOL’s ability to act a global platform for international police cooperation has improved substantially. His particular areas of interest include money laundering, cybercrime and criminal intelligence. He is also highly experienced in operating in the Asia Pacific.
