Alba González Rolón

Lawyer, Corte Suprema de Justicia Paraguay

Lawyer, and Doctor in National Security, Alba González Rolón is a former Judge of the Judicial Branch of Paraguay, a position she obtained through a merit-based competition, serving as a Member of the Specialized Criminal Court for Organized Crime, appointed by the Supreme Court of Justice.

Alba is a lawyer who graduated from the National University of Asunción, Paraguay and from the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies in Washington, DC. She holds a PhD in Development, Defense and National Security from the National Defense Council of her country. She is a specialist in Organized Crime, Intelligence, Counterintelligence, Insurgency and Counterinsurgency.

As a professor at several universities for the past 25 years, Alba is an expert in most of the courses given by the World Intellectual Property Organization WIPO, and was also invited by the United Nations Organization UNODC to speak and share experiences on international arms trafficking, in several opportunities for meetings and courses given by the Office on Crime and Drugs of the United States.
