Paola joined the Global Initiative in 2026 as Programme Manager, supporting GI-TOC’s role as Technical Secretariat of the Latin American and Caribbean Group on Security and Democracy (GLACSED) and the Mayors’ Coalition on Illicit Economies. Her work focuses on coordinating both platforms, managing high-level stakeholder relationships, and supporting the sustainability and political impact of these coalitions across the region.

She brings over 10 years of experience in programme and project management, international cooperation, and high-level stakeholder engagement across Latin America. Prior to joining GI-TOC, she held positions at Los Andes University, Colombia’s Victims’ Unit (UARIV), Amnesty International, and USAID’s Colombia Transforma program, working across themes including peacebuilding, transitional justice, forced displacement, migration, human rights, and democratic governance.

Paola holds a Master’s degree in Development Management and Practice (MDP) from Universidad de Los Andes and a Bachelor’s degree in Government and International Relations from Universidad Externado de Colombia.
