Analyst, Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime
Rukshana is an analyst in our office in Cape Town. She works on the South and East Africa Organized Crime Observatory, focussing on assassinations and gang mapping initiatives. She also works on the Resilience Fund, a GI initiative that finances, nurtures and assists local initiatives in their responses to organized crime.
Rukshana holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in law as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy & Administration from the University of Cape Town where she was an Oppenheimer scholar. She is also an admitted South African attorney, having practiced at a global law firm focusing on employment law, insurance litigation and competition law
