Pele Gandy-Williams is a certified professional with specialist knowledge and experience in money laundering, terrorist and proliferation financing risk management, economic crime and corporate governance, strategic analysis, and policy development.
Pele is the Head of Research, Policy, and Cooperation in the Financial Intelligence Unit in Sierra Leone. He has performed a professional role in various capacities to curb economic crime, including serving as Chairman of the Financial Crimes Working Group in Sierra Leone, an inter-governmental agency committee, and serving as a member of the Inter-Governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA) Policy Review Group.
He holds a Master in Business Administration Degree. He is also a Fellow of the International Compliance Association (FICA) and ICA Certified Professional with an ICA Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Crime Compliance, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and a trained strategic analyst.
