Jeremy is a former member of the South African Police Service with the rank of Major General, previously serving as the Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Detection in the Western Cape. In the course of his career in the SAPS, he has also served in the intelligence environment and visible policing as a station/station commander and later as commander of special anti-gang operations.
