Gabriel Granjo

Analyst - Brazil

Gabriel is an analyst at the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC). He is currently based in São Paulo, Brazil, and his work focuses on the intersection of environmental crime and data-driven methods. Previously, Gabriel worked on research initiatives at FGV and for the Inter-American Development Bank, using econometric and machine learning techniques to examine the effect of political dynamics on deforestation. He has also been a consultant to the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace during the 2022 Brazilian elections. Gabriel holds a BA (Hons) in International Relations with a minor in Data Science from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), Brazil, and was an exchange student at the University of Oslo.
