Minna Fisher is a Research Associate at the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC) and an MA Candidate in European and Eurasian Studies at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, University of Toronto. She also serves as Managing Editor of the Journal of Illicit Economies and Development (JIED). Concurrently, she works as a Research Assistant at the Citizen Lab, where she investigates methods to detect evolving internet censorship techniques. Minna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Political Science from McGill University, where she developed a research focus at the intersection of computational methods and digital governance. Her work spans cybercrime, digital repression, and the application of natural language processing to political communication.
