Political Transition in Zimbabwe: A new era for organized crime?
This policy brief constitutes a first step towards developing more comprehensive assessments that will broaden our understanding of organized crime...
Protecting Politics – an initiative began in partnership with International IDEA and the Clingendael Institute – focuses on the threat that organised crime poses to democracy around the world. Organised crime insinuates itself into the service delivery compact that citizens have with the state, it warps political parties and processes, and undermines state institutions through corruption and alliances. Through a series of regional case studies, policy documents and discussions, the #ProtectingPolitics initiative seeks to shed light on the phenomena and catalyse better responses.
