Aiah Nabieu Mokuwah is a senior addiction intervention specialist, policy advocate, and social development practitioner with extensive experience in drug demand reduction, rehabilitation, and human security programming in Sierra Leone. He currently serves with the Institute for Drug Control and Human Security, where he leads strategic initiatives focused on substance abuse prevention, recovery systems strengthening, and community resilience in response to emerging drug threats, including the kush crisis. Aiah has played a key role in designing and implementing community-based rehabilitation programs, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and supporting evidence-based policy responses to substance abuse and related social challenges. He works closely with government institutions, civil society organizations, journalists, and community leaders to promote coordinated responses to drug control and human security issues. His professional contributions include rehabilitation and relapse prevention programs, supporting research and policy dialogue, and advancing public awareness on addiction and recovery. Aiah is also actively involved in strengthening governance, promoting public health interventions, and developing sustainable recovery frameworks for vulnerable populations. His work is driven by a strong commitment to human dignity, community stability, and long-term recovery outcomes.
