Miroslav Nožina is a senior researcher and Associate Professor at the Institute of International Relations in Prague, Czech Republic. In the past, he worked as a member of the international team of experts at the Observatoire géopolitique des drogues, Paris, a researcher at the Oriental Institute of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences in Prague and a journalist. He focuses mainly on the field of political anthropology and anthropology of crime / cultural criminology. He publishes on the topics of international organized crime, drug crime, and illegal wildlife trade; further social issues in the countries of Mainland Southeast Asia. He is the author and co-author of 17 books with the recent publication Vietnamese Organized Crime in the Czech Republic: Palgrave Macmillan 2020.
