Mac Archer joined the team in May 2024 as an Analyst for the Haiti Observatory Team. She holds a Doctorate in Philosophy, majoring in Cultural Anthropology with a concentration in Disasters, Displacement, and Human Rights (DDHR). Her research specializes in crisis analysis, child protection, economic and political violence, and peacebuilding. Mac has worked as a research advisor for non-governmental organizations, governmental agencies, and multilateral organizations in Haiti and the United States since 2018.
Her experience includes working on cases involving human trafficking and sexual violence against minors investigated by Homeland Security of the United States government and the Haitian Ministry of Social Affairs, known as Institut du Bien-Etre Social et de Recherches, in coordination with local NGOs. She is passionate about advocating for social justice and community-led development projects. She is fluent in English and Haitian Kreyol.
