Born in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Dr. Iliana Padilla Reyes has dedicated her career to the study of violence and the promotion of peace from both global and local perspectives. As a professor at UNAM’s ENES Juriquilla, she exemplifies the interconnected nature of teaching, research, and institutional advancement. Iliana holds degrees in International Studies and American and Canadian Studies from the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS). She pursued her Doctorate in Regional Studies at UAS, with a specific focus on issues related to violence. Her membership in CONAHCYT’s National System of Researchers reflects her unwavering commitment to both scholarly progress and the well-being of society.
