On 1 March 2022, Director Mark Shaw delivered a statement on behalf of GI-TOC to the opening session of the UN Ad Hoc Committee to Elaborate a Comprehensive International Convention on Countering the Use of Information and Communications Technologies for Criminal Purposes.

GI-TOC will be contributing further to this UN process over the coming months and years, drawing on the inputs of our global network, and in collaboration with the wide variety of other civil society organizations who are also observers to the Committee.  Our initial analysis on the negotiations can be read here, and we will be regularly posting more analysis and multimedia output as it goes forward.
