Diana Balderrama is an independent Researcher and Consultant specializing in Economic Development, Informality and Black Markets, and International Cooperation. She holds an academic background in Economics, with postgraduate studies in Economic Development, Economic Growth, and International Economic Relations completed in Europe and Latin America. Her multidisciplinary expertise combines quantitative research, policy analysis, and strategic advisory services. She currently works as an independent consultant leading evaluations, research studies, and development strategies for public institutions, international organizations, NGOs, and private sector actors. Her professional experience includes collaboration with international organizations, multiple institutions across Latin America. Her work focuses on labor markets, productive development, sustainability, governance, regional integration, and evidence-based policymaking. Among her key achievements, she was recently honored by the Asamblea Nacional del Ecuador with the award Defensores Iberoamericanos Digitales de las Infancias. She also received the WAW Awards distinction as one of the 100 Most Inspirational Women in the World. She is also the creator of a patented human rights mobile application, STANDAPP4HR, designed to monitor and report human rights violations.
