Jorge M. Lasmar is CEO of Agama and a Professor of International Relations at PUC Minas, Brazil. He holds a PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
He is the co-founder and co-director of the Collaborative Research Network on Terrorism, Radicalization and Transnational Crime (TRAC), director of Legal Affairs at the International Association for Security and Intelligence Studies (INASIS), regional coordinator (Brazil) of the Terrorism Research Network (TRI) and member of the Commission for Professional Certification in Prevention of Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism (CPLD-FT, IPLD).
Prof. Lasmar provides lectures, training courses and consults for several public and private institutions in Brazil and abroad in the areas of counter-terrorism, crime-terrorism nexus, anti-money laundering and the financing of terrorism, transnational organized crime and international illicit flows.
