Tessa van Roomen is an experienced senior public prosecutor with a demonstrated history managing large scale cross-border corruption, fraud and money laundering investigations. She has ample experience in tactics and strategies of law enforcement in crime fighting. Tessa is also a visiting fellow at VU University Amsterdam. Her research focuses on international cooperation in combating illicit financial flows related to serious organized crime and white-collar crime. Tessa has more than 9 years of professional experience as a criminal defense lawyer. She authored the Netherlands handbook on corruption investigations. Tessa aims to contribute to a meaningful connection between criminal law theory and practice. She strives to defend the public interest in accordance with the requirements of the rule of law and human rights.
