Pascal works as an Analyst within the Extractives team and the West Africa Observatory. He is particularly interested in the convergence of organised crime and conflict. In his work, he combines the evaluation of field data with Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) and data analysis to examine the political economy of organised crime.
Before joining GI-TOC in 2025, Pascal worked with a Swiss civil society organisation on evidence-informed policy-making after several years in the private sector. He holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Oxford, a CAS in Peace Mediation & Dialogue from the University of Basel, and an MSc in Materials Science from ETH Zurich. Pascal is based in Switzerland and speaks German, English, French, and (limited) Spanish.
