Podcast Host & Moderator, Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime
Lindy Mtongana joined the Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime in April 2020 as the host of “Africa and the Global Illicit Economy”, the GI’s first Africa-focused podcast. In addition to this Lindy has moderated a series of webinars, facilitating discussions on the latest GI research.
Lindy is an experienced international broadcast journalist with a keen interest in human rights, development, Africa and geopolitical affairs. She is currently a news anchor for the Africa bureau of China Global Television Network in Kenya, and has previously reported and anchored at eNCA in South Africa.
Lindy holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Rhodes University in South Africa and is currently studying towards a Master of Law in Human Rights from the University of London.
