Iris Oustinoff-Leroux

YPN Coordinator and Analyst, Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime

Iris joined the Global Initiative in 2015 and is the Coordinator of the Global Initiative Young Professionals Network (YPN). She also supports the coordination of the GI-TOC Network of Experts. As such, she is in charge of managing the development of the YPN, which was officially launched in 2022, and she supports all engagement with and activities of the Network of Experts.

She also conducts research analysis for the Observatory of Illicit Economies in West Africa, more specifically on issues specific to Benin.

Throughout her career at the GI-TOC, Iris has participated in a range of flagship  initiatives including the EU-funded ENACT and CT-MORSE projects in Geneva and Brussels, the Resilience Fund where she acts as a liaison officer for francophone fellows, as well as the Market Monitoring and Friction Unit project where she oversees engagement with private sector actors.

She holds an M.A. in International Relations and European Politics from the University of Bath, and an M.A. in International Project Management from the Sorbonne (Paris).  Her areas of interest include wildlife crime and illicit financial flows with a regional focus on Africa and Latin America. Iris speaks fluent French and English, as well as Spanish and Portuguese. She is currently based in Paris.
