Irakli Beridze
Irakli Beridze is head of the UNICRI Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, where he launched the first UN programme on AI and robotics. He has organized a number of events at the UN General Assembly and with other international organizations, with the aim of finding synergies between traditional threats and the new risks posed by AI, and identifying how AI might contribute to the achievement of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. He received recognition when the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in 2013.
