Augusto Lima is a distinguished State Prosecutor at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rio Grande do Norte, where he has served since 2010. Throughout his career, he has held numerous leadership and strategic positions dedicated to advancing transparency, accountability, and the rule of law. From 2013 to 2014, he coordinated the Regional Action Group Anti-Corruption (GARPP), followed by his tenure as Coordinator of the Operational Support Center for Anti-Corruption Procedures and Tax Evasion Combating (CAOP-PP) from 2014 to 2017. In 2017, he served as Prosecutor Assistant to the Attorney General, contributing significantly to institutional governance and policy formulation. Between 2015 and 2017, Lima was a contributor to the National Strategy to Combat Corruption and Money Laundering (ENCCLA), and in 2017, he became a member of the National Anti-Corruption Forum of the National Council of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. His commitment to transparency also extended to the international stage as a member of the Brazil FIFA World Cup Working Group of the National Council of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in 2014. Additionally, he coordinated the Articulated Movement to Combat Corruption (MARCCO) in Rio Grande do Norte during 2016 and 2017. From 2021 to 2023, Lima served as Assistant Prosecutor for the Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime (GAECO), focusing on criminal organizations, drug trafficking, and violent crimes. During this period, he also coordinated the Security Cabinet of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rio Grande do Norte (2022–2023) and the Anti-Money Laundering Unit (NIP) from 2021 to 2025. Through these roles, Augusto Lima has established himself as a leading figure in anti-corruption and law enforcement initiatives in Brazil, recognized for his expertise in combating organized crime and promoting integrity in public administration.
