Ramin Farrokhi is a consultant with the Observatory of Illicit Economies in Central and South Asia at the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organised Crime (GI-TOC). Before joining the GI-TOC, Ramin worked as a researcher and writer covering political, military and security affairs in the Middle East and South Asia, and conducted open-source investigations into crypto-enabled illicit finance. He holds a master’s degree in foreign service from Georgetown University and has published articles on militant groups and organized crime.
