Sarah Hayat Malik is an Analyst with the Central and South Asia Observatory at the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC). Her work focuses on issues related to migration, human trafficking and migrant smuggling across the Central and South Asia region.
She has experience coordinating multi-country projects, supporting grant-making initiatives, and facilitating collaboration between researchers, practitioners and community organizations to address vulnerabilities linked to migration and illicit economies.
Sarah holds a Master’s degree in South Asian Studies from Columbia University and has over seven years of experience in research, policy analysis and project management in the international development sector.
