Dr. Eric Sevigny’s research focuses on understanding the effects of drug and crime policy, the characteristics of drug markets and the decision-making behaviors of drug trade actors, and the measurement of multidimensional drug laws and drug-related outcomes. His education and training is in public policy analysis, with a focus on secondary data analysis, survey research, quantitative methods, and causal inference. Although his research addresses all illicit drugs, much of his scholarship has focused on cannabis and cannabis liberalization policies. He has successfully administered both funded and unfunded collaborative projects, including a international survey of cannabis growers across 18 countries.
