Raphael is an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. His areas of expertise encompass corporate and commercial law, financial sector regulations, pension law, and public law litigation. Raphael joined the Cape Town office of the Global Initiative in September 2024 as an analyst, and as a program coordinator at the Law and Governance Academy of Southern Africa (LAGASA), a public-benefit initiative of the GI-TOC. In these roles, he contributes to capacity-building projects in Africa, coordinates the development of training modules, conducts research on international legal instruments regulating transnational organized crime and corruption, and engages with stakeholders across civil society, government, and the private sector.
