Carolina is a Lawyer, Master of laws. She is a specialist in human rights and alternative conflict resolution. Carolina has more than 20 years of experience in research and consulting projects on drugs, security, justice, health for international cooperation agencies, state institutions, research centers, communities in countries such as Honduras, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Peru, Argentina, Ecuador, San Francisco, Oakland (USA) and Colombia. She is a professor of Geopolitics of drugs in the Master’s Degree in Cultures and Drugs at the University of Caldas (Colombia). Also, she is a founding member of Amassuru network of women specialists in security and defense.
Carolina an academic collaborator in research centers and groups and belongs to networks such as the Network of Experts against Extorsion in Central America of the Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime, GT Violence, Security Policies and Resistance of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO), International Network for Innovation in Security (RISE). She is the producer and host of the radio program Debajo del Puente (CLACSO).
