Bonaventure Ebayi is the director of the Lusaka Agreement Task Force (LATF), a position he has held since February 2009. He first joined the LATF’s Nairobi office in 2002 as a Field Officer, before assuming the directorship seven years later. Before joining the LATF, Bonaventure worked as a civil servant in his native Republic of the Congo, with a particular focus on natural resources and conservation. Bonaventure has significant experience in a wide variety of fields related to conservation and the management of environmental resources.
He has spent over a decade in forest, land, and marine fisheries management and law enforcement, with 12 years of experience in managing regional and intergovernmental cooperative law enforcement affairs regarding wild flora and fauna. Bonaventure holds a masters degree in Forest Protection and Ecology, and has studied forest management in Russia as well as in the Republic of the Congo. He speaks French, English, and Russian in addition to his native Lingala.
