Present in the framework of the Webinar Series
THE PRIVATE SECTOR COUNTERING HUMAN TRAFFICKING:
New technologies, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Tackling Human Trafficking
This introduction webinar for the New technologies, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Tackling Human Trafficking webinar series was held on 8th December 2016.
How are new technologies and innovations impacting human trafficking? How can new technologies and innovation address and combat human trafficking? And how does entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial solutions play a role in the fight against human trafficking?
This first webinar of the 2016-2017 series on ‘New technologies, innovation and entrepreneurship tackling human trafficking’ will introduce the topic and outline the webinar series for the coming months. The aim is to dedicate the six webinars to the specific topic of new technologies and entrepreneurships, approached by different angles covered in the respective webinar sessions, which would then provide a holistic, deep dive into the nature of the problem, its manifestations, and effective solutions for the private sector to engage in the fight against human trafficking in the sector, maximising their own strategic value.
The webinar will feature three expert speakers from:
- Neil Giles, Stop the Traffik
- Anna Donovan, TRACE
- Petru Sinculei, Western Union
