Senior Analyst, Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime
Renato Rivera is a researcher and professor specializing in organized crime in Ecuador. He holds a Ph.D. in Rule of Law and Global Governance from Universidad de Salamanca and has led multiple projects on crime prevention in Ecuador and the Latin American region. His research integrates ethnographic fieldwork in ports and borders, with judicial analysis of organized crime cases, providing a unique perspective on both local dynamics and institutional responses. He currently serves as a senior analyst for the Andean region at the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime.
