Luka Dinshak is an academic and Deputy Director of the Centre for Conflict Management and Peace Studies (CECOMPS) at the University of Jos. He is responsible for coordinating all the academic programmes to ensure that the curriculum is up-to-date with the best practice globally and that academic staff employ innovative skills in the delivery of its content.
Luka has a PhD in International Relations and Strategic Studies. Due to his interest in issues related to insecurity in Nigeria and the West African sub-region, his thesis focused on evaluating the implementation of the ECOWAS Convention on Small Arms and Light Weapons in Nigeria. Luka has presented two presentations at conferences and published three articles based on his thesis. He has undertaken research in the field of conflict, peace studies and security.
Luka was a state researcher (state of Nasarawa) for the National Small Arms Survey in 2016.
