Programme Manager, Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime
Jessica is a Programme Manager working on irregular migration in Libya and the the Central Mediterranean Sea.
She has been working for the Global Initiative since summer 2015 and has been based in Lebanon as well as Switzerland prior her relocation to the NAS Observatory based in Malta. Her main areas of interest are human smuggling, human trafficking and the challenges of conflict and post-conflict contexts; her regional focus is the Middle East. As German native she is also interested in clan criminality.
Jessica holds a MA in International Relations and Political Science from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, and a BScEcon in International Politics and Strategic Studies from Aberystwyth University. Jessica speaks fluent German and English, possesses a limited working proficiency in French and basic knowledge of Levantine Arabic from her time in Beirut.
