‘Zack’ Zaccardelli is presently the Director of Strategic Planning for INTERPOL. For almost thirty-seven years he was a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). From 2000 until his retirement from the RCMP in 2006 he was the head of the organization. In his role as Commissioner he was responsible for all aspects of the management and operations of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and its approximately 27.000 employees. For many years he has been a champion and outspoken proponent of Intelligence Led and Integrated Policing at the Local, National and International levels as a means to deal with the threat of the globalization of organized crime, public safety and security issues.
