Juan Pablo Arci is a lawyer graduated from the Law School of the University of Buenos Aires, with a postgraduate degree in Public Prosecutor’s Office Specialization from the same University and a Diploma in Organized Crime from the University of San Isidro. He is also a graduate of the Training Program for Aspiring Magistrates (PROFAMAG) of the Judicial School of the National Council of the Judiciary and of the course Combating Transnational Threat Networks (CTTN 2022) given by the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies of the National Defense University of the United States, among other national and international congresses and seminars. He has worked for more than 18 years in the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Argentina. Currently, he is an Assistant Prosecutor in the Federal Prosecutor’s Office N°1 of Lomas de Zamora, which has jurisdiction over federal crimes that take place in the south of the province of Buenos Aires. There, complex criminal organizations dedicated to drug trafficking, human trafficking, extortive kidnapping, money laundering and corruption, among others, operate and it is one of the jurisdictions in which these criminal modalities are most developed.
