The SEE-Obs was launched in July 2018 and focuses on the Western Balkans Six.

It is a platform that connects and empowers civil-society actors across the region. SEE-Obs aims at identifying, analyzing and mapping criminal trends and their impact on illicit flows, governance, development, interethnic relations, security and the rule of law, and supports them in their monitoring of national dynamics and wider regional and international organized-crime trends.

SEE-Obs is based in Vienna and is supported by the governments of the United Kingdom, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria and Poland.
