Join us at the National Press Club of Australia for the Asia–Oceania regional launch of the third edition of the Global Organized Crime Index – the world’s most comprehensive dataset tracking criminal markets, criminal actors, and resilience across 193 countries.
At this event, we will present the Index’s key global findings and take a closer look at Asia and Oceania, exploring how illicit economies are reshaping societies, exploiting disruption, and testing governance. We will offer a global overview of major trends, patterns, and shifts in transnational organized crime and resilience, before turning to what the latest data reveals about Asian and Oceanian countries specifically. A dedicated Q&A segment will allow participants to engage directly with the speakers, followed by informal networking with fellow practitioners and stakeholders.
While the changes mapped by the Index have the potential to transform the global criminal landscape, governments, civil society, and the private sector can also take practical, data-driven measures to mitigate the threat of organized crime. This edition of the Index aims to lay the foundations for societies to strengthen their collective response to both existing and emerging challenges.
