The Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime is a civil society organization founded in 2013 as a platform to promote innovative approaches to tackling organized crime.

Its global network brings together experts in law enforcement, governance and development who seek innovative strategies and responses to organized crime. Its mission is to enhance analysis of, encourage action against and support resilience to organized crime in order to reduce its negative impact on people, the environment, businesses and states.

The 2025 Year in Review, Disruption and adaptability, provides an overview of the GI-TOC’s work during a year marked by geopolitical disruption, evolving illicit economies and rapid technological change. It highlights the organization’s research, policy engagement and support for civil society across regions and thematic areas.
