Pete Bosman, our head of design and production passed away on Saturday 29 August. Pete had been living with cancer for some time and sadly didn’t pull through following surgery in June.
His legacy at the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC) is greatly valued by all of us. An award-winning book designer, Pete joined the organisation in 2019 and set the benchmark for design excellence, shaping the visual identity that continues to define our published material today.

Though often unseen, Pete worked tirelessly and with dedication, giving our editorial content its distinctive design identity and enduring quality. If you have ever appreciated the look and feel of a GI-TOC report, then it is Pete’s work you admired.
All of his GI-TOC colleagues will remember Pete with fondness and gratitude. He was a kind, patient man, who was a joy to talk to and had the warmest smile. He always made you feel like your work mattered, and that he was proud to contribute to it. His death is a great loss to us all.
Our heartfelt thoughts are with his family and friends.
