It is widely recognized that men and women are affected by organized crime and corruption in different ways and that their reactions to and engagement in corrupt and criminal activities are also different. These effects have been amplified by the climate crisis and COVID 19. Gender also plays a crucial role in building effective responses.

This event will explore the roles women play in building community resilience to organized crime and corruption, the socio-economic factors shaping these roles and the challenges associated with them, highlighting how women act as change-makers in driving resistance to corruption and criminal governance.
