The SDG “So What?” Series is a unique event series that creates the space to challenge our shared and diverse understandings of how to turn the 2030 Agenda into action. The series breaks down what words and paradigms mean in practice. Each event is co-hosted by the SDG Lab and a partner organization and explores two seemingly unrelated targets/goals are looked at through a common lens.
So What: Healthy Lives and Effective Institutions (SDG 3 and 16)
This iteration, cohosted by the Global Commission on Drug Policy, will feature Health (SDG 3) and Effective Institutions (SDG 16). Individual and public health are a result, an outcome and an indicator of institutional strategies and implementation. Similarly, strong, effective and accountable institutions are central for healthy lives for all. Experts and policy makers will exchange on the opportunities of interaction of both goals to achieve their targets, as well as provide existing examples of their implementation on the ground for better sustainable development outcomes.
